Cabernet Franc is grown in Bordeaux and the
Loire Valley. In Bordeaux it is mainly used for blending with
Cabernet Sauvignon and
Merlot and in the Loire Valley it is typically vinified alone. Well known for an aroma profile reminiscent of violets, on the palate raspberry, pepper, cassis and hints of green leaf are typical.
