Weingut Lingenfelder
Weingut Lingenfelder
Pfalz, Germany

Combining a serious winemaking pedigree with plenty of personality and a love of nature, the family-run Lingenfelder Estate is a champion of German wines

The Lingenfelders have grown grapes in the Pfalz region of southwest Germany for 500 years and an incredible 14 generations. Today, the estate is managed by Georg Lingenfelder and his father Rainer, (pictured here) both regular visitors to Ireland and the O’Briens Wine Festival.

The family craft a range of delicious, natural wines through a careful minimalist approach to winemaking. The warm, dry Pfalz summers are ideal for growing the traditional aromatic German grape varieties - Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Scheurebe and Dornfelder - that the Lingenfelders love.

The labels on the Vineyard Creatures series, including Bird Label Riesling and Fox Label Dornfelder, tells you all you need to know about the family. Much like the Lingenfelders, they're full of colour and personality... and put nature right in the centre of things.
